Hi! My name is Amanda Kane and I want to welcome you to my site! I am a Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and History. Professionally, I have over 10 years of experience in fund development and marketing for the nonprofit sector and approximately 20 years of experience in a variety of volunteer leadership positions. Prior to graduating from University, I worked in a variety of costumer service positions as a sandwich artist, barista, historic site tour guide, and at a super cool archaeological dig. My journey working with the general public has been ripe with many wonderful people, opportunities, and lessons along the way. I am exceedingly grateful for the good fortune to learn, grow, and continue to develop personally and professionally.
A dedicated team player and independent worker, I excel with relationship building, networking, community development and special event/campaign/fund development management. I am currently in the process of completing a post grad Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Victoria in British Columbia to compliment my existing professional skillset. I am a hard working and deliberate communicator, engaging presenter, and trusted community builder. I firmly believe that communication and collaboration are the corner stones to success in any field. I look forward to speaking with you about my skillset and work ethic today!
